Files Already On New SD Card.

Hey guys,

So, first off, I'm really sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

I just received an SD card in the mail today. When I put it in the computer, there were a whole bunch of pictures & music files on it.

Can this card damage my hard drive? I'm super paranoid about this stuff. I deleted all the files off of the card.
