We’ve launched **PluginScore**, a free public tool built by Kitgenix to help WordPress users check plugin quality, security signals and overall health before installing.
You can search for a WordPress plugin slug and

PluginScore will generate an automated report looking at things like:
• Security signals
• Known vulnerability indicators
• WordPress.org readiness
• Performance checks
• Code quality signals
• Accessibility indicators
• General plugin health

The goal is simple: help WordPress users make better plugin decisions before adding another plugin to a live website.

PluginScore is not designed to attack plugin authors, and it is not a replacement for proper manual review. Automated scoring can never guarantee that a plugin is completely secure, bug-free or perfect.

But it can give users a useful starting point.

For example, instead of only checking active installs, star ratings and “last updated” dates, PluginScore gives users a wider view of a plugin’s public health signals.

We’re building this as a community-focused project and will continue improving the scoring, reporting and transparency over time.

The main aim is accountability, better plugin choices, and helping WordPress users understand what they are installing.
