New to lighting and not sure how to do something

Greetings Hive Mind!

I though I might inquire here about how I might best accomplish something. In a few months I'm planning to run Free Leagues Rapture Protocol for Alien RPG and I'm going to be printing, painting, and ideally lighting a 3d version of the two maps the game takes place on (a starship and a mining colony). However it's an aliens game and lights aren't always consistent so in my perfect world I'd like to learn a new trick. Specifically how I might be able to set up a lighting control panel behind the screen that would let me accomplish the following:

  1. Have a control panel behind my GM screen that would let me control if the lights in a room were on, off, or flickering, or a different color (red) for the emergency lighting.

  2. Be at least somewhat modular to ease transportation to the convention site but not take forever to set up when the players switch from map to map.

3)Allow me to use some of the tiles I can print from the Darkhyve Assault tiles I own from Saucermen Studios:

I'm aware I'm going to need to learn a bunch of new skills to pull this off but in a lot of ways it's the skills I'm after since those are transferable to other projects.
