I built Unarchive.today to fix reading archived pages on mobile. Just added a "Read-It-Later" Inbox, Android Auto-Return, and 100% local AI summaries!

If you use archive.today or archive.ph to get past clutter, paywalls, or just to save pages before they disappear, you probably know that the mobile web experience can be a bit clunky.
I built Unarchive.today as an independent native reader to fix this. It doesn't host or alter the archives; it just provides a lightning-fast, highly readable, native UI for them.
Based on tons of user feedback, I just released a massive update that turns the app into a full-fledged, permanent "Read-It-Later" vault.
Here is what I just added:
- 📥 The Quick-Save Inbox: Sharing a link to the app now slides up a fast bottom sheet. You can instantly save the article to a "Pending" inbox to read later without ever opening the heavy web viewer.
- Native & Clutter-Free: A completely native reader with full dark mode support that strips away web noise and pop-ups.
- One-Tap Instant Open: Instantly open and read articles you want to save through archive.today or anywhere else on the web with a single tap.
- ⚡ Auto-Return (Zero Friction): When you save a link from Chrome or Twitter, the app processes the save, shows a quick checkmark (1.1 seconds), and automatically minimizes itself. You are instantly dropped back into your browser so you can keep reading or saving other tabs without losing your place.
- 🤖 100% On-Device AI Summaries & Audio: You can generate text summaries or listen to articles on the go. Because privacy is paramount, the AI processing happens entirely on your device—no data is uploaded to external cloud servers.
- 🎨 Custom Colored Folders: Organize your saved archives with curated color palettes and premium glassmorphic gradients.
🔮 What's Next on the Roadmap? I am pouring all my engineering focus into this right now during my garden leave this month, which gives me the perfect window to ship updates fast. Here is what is coming up:
- Cloud Backup & Sync: Effortlessly sync your vault via your personal Google Drive or iCloud.
- Chat with your Articles: A completely local, on-device chat interface to query and explore the contents of your saved articles.
- The Daily Podcast Wrap-Up: Save links during the day, and the app will notify you in the evening with a personalized, AI-generated audio podcast summarizing everything you saved.
