Hi all,

Not expecting anything huge here - bit new to the sub but have watched the show from start to finish, and enjoyed the comic version long before that.

Couple outstanding questions I figured I'd ask the diehard fans, see if they can help with lingering question marks after watching the finale (obviously **BIG spoiler alert** for anyone who hasn't watched yet):

\- Did Starlight's face change *again*, mid-episode? Her eyebrows, her nose, everything seems a bit shifted about 2/3rds of the way through the episode itself. Just me, maybe?

\- How is there virtually nobody on guard duty at the White House, besides a couple guys camping on top of that boobytrapped tunnel the Boys go through? There was far more security at just one of the Vought Camps, seems weird there's basically nobody (either Supes, like any of the Psychs that Homelander had recruited, or regular humans) guarding the *literal White House -* especially since they knew the Boys were coming for 'em

\- Starlight tackled the Deep and blasted them both out of the city - visually super cool. Logically, though...did Annie have a particular reason, for moving the fight to a lone beach area with zero electricity to use (and again, *right next* to the water - which for all she knew was still Deep's literal element)? Or are we just saying she acted on pure instinct / didn't have time to think?

\- Speaking of the final confrontation with the Deep, much as I loved his scream of "NO!!" when asked to hold himself accountable...did he kinda just forget how to swim? I thought he was at least super fast in the water, but he was stupidly slow and awkward before getting skull-blasted by an octopus. Or was that always just him hitchhiking on a whale or shark etc., this whole time?

\- Did Homelander forget that he has super-hearing, the entire episode? Granted, he's crazy and hears a weird screeching noise sometimes, but...people were actively conspiring against him and whispering stuff *while in the same room* as him. Others were killing supes and blasting their way closer to him like 2-3 rooms away. And he's almost surprised to see Butcher walk in the door at the end?

\- What was the point of callback/replaying the clip of Maeve and Starlight's chat in the bathroom in Season 1, at the start of the episode, to then just...not have Maeve back at all for the final showdown?

\- If they had to fight literal Homelander, why'd they leave at least 3 battle-hardened Supes from Godolkin U out of the final fight? Aside from the obvious "we don't have enough time in the episode to make that meaningful and just need them gone", I guess

\- Who in the name of actual F\*\*\* names their future daughter *after their deceased ex-girlfriend*?

\- Not exactly important but I'll ask anyways: Would Father have basically just exploded the instant he got it on with his wife, by using the indestructible ball and gag that eventually ended up blowing him up in his final fight with the Boys there? Or is the implication that he'd never go THAT loud in the sack...?

\- Frenchie's ghost showing up and telling Kimiko that her power was never about rage...did he forget literally everything that's ever happened to her and anything that her power has been used for, in the entirety of the show, up to that point? Even if it's way toned down from the comic usually, her entire thing has been her being consumed by rage and actually hating her own powers for it.

\- How'd the Oval Office look so (relatively) neat after Kimiko blew the place up with her new Soldier-Boy-esque power? And how come it didn't blow up half the building, like Soldier Boy did whenever he used that power beforehand?

\- Sister Sage's great Phase 2 of the plan under Homelander was ultimately...what, to just kill everyone via deluded Supe with a literal god complex?

\- What was the point of the V1 plot, in the end? Just to send Homelander over the edge into full self-delusion and insanity?

And finally, same as a lot of you I'm sure, I feel like this episode was insanely packed and rushed - they had *two funerals* in it for goodness' sake. Was there any particular reason they couldn't just do 9 or 10 episodes to stretch it out a bit, far as we know? Or is that just kinda like GOT's finale - no real explanation given, just a colossal mess-up?

Thanks in advance. Suffice it to say, felt like this was full of holes and a big letdown from the rest of the series, but I'll see if any of these questions have an obvious answer I'm missing in the meantime to maybe clear it up a bit.
