Is it autistic or regular
So I am 16 not autistic but I want to get a diagnosis eventually because I think I have symtoms of it. I was just wondering if there is a way to see if you can/cant filter sound, I belive its the cocktail party effect. I dont think I can as I have been running tests on myself for about 2 months trying to figure it out. I have a really hard time with noise and being in loud environments and I have a really hard time hearing with noise like I can hear fine in quiet and dont the hearing issues but in loud environments I cant hear anything its just like a giant blob or sound and noise with vocational sharp sounds. I dont think this is normal as my brother can do it easily and think its really odd I have a hard time with it.
Also is there a way to tell whether you have a neurtypical dislike for physical contact or if its something else. Like I dont like contact especially sunrise contact that I cant brace for its just uncomfortable and if I am tired and say in a crouded place and getting bumped a lot it can feel like I am being electrocuted. I dont know if this is a dumb question probably is but is that a neurotypical thing or is there a way to test that.
Also what is the difference between neurotypical people not liking eye contact and autistic not liking eye contact. I dont like eyecontact its not like painful its just uncomfortable and I dont know when to blink or why they aperantly want to melt my insides out of my body by staring at my eyes. To be fair I have not had a lot of social practice as I have been homeschooled and maybe that is why but is it normal to do this or not be able to pay attention to the conversation or forget to make my face look happy or whatever and not blank. I am not trying to self diagnose I just dont want to go for a diagnosis and lie without trying to cause I misunderstood what having trouble with eye contact ment.
Also how do you approach getting a diagnosis like with you parents or doctor like do you just go to walk in and ask about it like just tell them you want a diagnosis how does that work how do you approach asking them about getting a diagnosis.
Sorry if this is against the rules or just dumb questions
I am not good at approaching stuff like this.
