How do I paint martian mud base?

I'm looking to base my IG army on a mars base but all the video tutorials are for like dry and dusty mars environment. I want my troops to be in like a Passchendaele level of mud. Like painting a DKoK mud base but on Mars. What kind of paints or tips do you have? Thank you.
