how do you build a future when you don’t relate to the traditional life script? (help someone in her 20’s)
i feel kind of lost because i’m realizing more and more that i don’t really fit into the “normal” vision of life.
i don’t want to do the same job for 40 years, im just not like that. i don’t really believe in the idea of one romantic partner forever. i think people evolve constantly, and sometimes someone is right for you during a certain chapter of your life, not necessarily until death.
i also really want children in the future, but i don’t necessarily believe you \*need\* a traditional romantic relationship to build a family. society presents one very specific path and if you don’t fit into it, people assume you’re confused or immature.
the thing is… i genuinely believe in this vision of life. but because i’m still young, i have no idea how to actually build my future while thinking this way.
does anyone else relate to this? how do you personally navigate life, relationships, work, or future plans with this mindset?
