Police verification for passport

I applied for passport 1 month ago, all went well in passport seva Kendra. Police verification has been initiated. After 3 weeks as I recieved no call, I go into the police station which was mentioned in my portal. I get there and the police just said that verification can't be done because of my residential address, the police said that your area comes under another jurisdiction so go to another police station named XYZ. I was be like : This is the police station I have selected for passport verification and PSK also confirmed it. Still the police denied that idhar kuch bhi hota, galat jagah aye h aap besides saying more than 5 times that this is the police verification office I selected and shown in portal. Now I'm back home it's more than 1 week now. Idk what to do. Shall I visit the another police station which is far away like 1 hour. The police station I selected were not far. But the police station they said it's way far away. What to do now?
