The unexplained death of 14 year old Noah Donohoe in Belfast: a cancelled meet up, missing final moments, discarded belongings, and a storm drain

I am submitting the case of Noah Donohoe because it remains one of the most puzzling and troubling cases in recent UK and Irish public memory.
Noah was a 14 year old schoolboy from Belfast. On 21 June 2020, he left home on his bike, reportedly planning to meet friends near Cavehill. He never came home.
What followed is deeply unusual. CCTV and witness evidence traced him cycling through Belfast, but his route changed. During the journey he appears to have lost or discarded key belongings, including his rucksack, phone, and clothing. He was later seen cycling naked. Six days later, his body was found inside a storm drain. The cause of death was drowning.
I am not posting this to accuse anyone, identify private people, or encourage harassment. I am asking whether the online research community can help build a careful public source timeline and separate confirmed facts from speculation.
The main anomalies that stand out are:
The cancelled meet up message
Noah reportedly left home around 5:40pm or 5:41pm. At around 5:41pm, a friend sent an Instagram message saying the planned meet up was cancelled. The inquest has heard Noah may not have seen it because he had left home WiFi and did not have mobile data. That timing feels hugely important.
The change in route
If Noah believed he was still going to meet friends, why did his route shift the way it did? Was he confused, injured, following someone, avoiding something, or simply lost?
The fall from his bike
He was reportedly seen falling from his bike. Could a head injury explain some of the later behaviour, including disorientation and discarding belongings?
The discarded possessions and clothing
The loss of his rucksack, phone, and clothing is one of the hardest parts to understand. Was this panic, injury, confusion, coercion, or something else?
The unexplained hand photograph on his phone
A photo found on Noah’s phone reportedly appears to show a palm or part of a hand. It may have been taken at around 6:50pm on the evening he disappeared, after Noah was last seen. If the timestamp is correct, who had the phone at that moment?
The storm drain
Noah’s body was found deep inside a storm drain system. How physically plausible is the known route through the culvert? Are there public drainage maps, engineering drawings, or site images that could clarify this?
The missing final moments
There appears to be no CCTV or eyewitness evidence for the crucial final stage. That gap is where many of the biggest questions sit.
The search and phone timeline
There are questions around when phone data, CCTV information, and search information became available, and whether delays affected the search.
This case is haunting because the known sequence of events is so unusual. A careful open source timeline might help clarify what is explainable, what is still unanswered, and what questions deserve more attention.
