Hunner’s Lesions and Sex

Hi everyone! So I was diagnosed with Hunner’s Lesions/Ulcers back in 2023. I’m a bit of a strange case when it comes to IC because my only symptom is sharp left lower abdominal pain, which is from my lesions mainly being on the left side of my bladder.

I recently have began being sexually active again, and I can’t find anything about this on the internet. When I have penetration, I don’t get any pain, it’s after the fact and the next day that I’m in severe pain. And the pain is in my lower left abdomen, and feels like my IC/Hunners Lesions pain.

Does anyone who has Hunner’s Lesions experience pain after sex as well? I’m not sure what to do besides not have penetrative sex? 😭 Any tips or helpful advice is greatly appreciated.
