Scalp dryness/flaking, help!

Hi all

I’m looking for recommendations for hair and scalp care products for dry scalp.

For context, I’m East Asian, based in the UK and I’ve been dealing with scalp flaking, itching and dryness for the past few months. I noticed it’s mainly the bottom right part of my scalp (close to the nape of my neck) that flakes and no other part has this issue. The flakes are usually small and looks like dandruff.

I’m not sure if this is caused by stress or environmental changes, as it’s been happening since late winter and it’s almost summer now.

I’ve used a few types of shampoos, I was recommended a moisture shampoo by a hairspa salon I visited in Japan but I realised my scalp still flakes a lot after a day or two of not washing it. I’ve also tried Nizoral (anti-dandruff shampoo) and it made the scalp flaking considerably worse so I stopped using it. I also use Eucerin scalp urea treatment to help with the itching but it doesn’t see to stop the flaking.

As I have long and chemically lightened/dyed hair, washing my hair everyday is inconvenient and also not realistic. I aim to wash my hair once every 3 days but I don’t know if this is making my scalp flake more.

I’d appreciate any advice anyone might have regarding my situation.
