Do you buy and sell cars? Talk to me!

Hi there, I am exploring a technical solution to help independent and main dealers save time, build trust and sell more cars, quicker.

I'd like to understand the following and if they are current pain points in the sales process?

  1. How often do buyers ask for more detail on a car’s history beyond “full service history”?

For example MOT history, repairs/maintenance, brake/tyre condition, prep work, advisories, inspection notes, previous paperwork, or invoices.

  1. When a buyer asks remotely before visiting, how do you currently share that information? Is it a difficult question to answer?

Do you send photos of paperwork, screenshots, PDFs, WhatsApp messages, emails, or mainly talk them through it?

  1. Is GDPR a genuine blocker when it comes to sharing service invoices, repair paperwork or previous-owner documents?

Do you redact documents, avoid sending them altogether, or only show them in person?

  1. Do you think the lack of easy, upfront car history evidence affects buyer confidence or causes you to lose potential customers?

Especially with more people enquiring remotely or buying online, does not being able to share a clean history/prep summary create hesitation, extra back-and-forth, or lost enquiries?

  1. How much time do you spend taking photos/videos, writing the website ad, uploading to Autotrader?

I’m not trying to sell anything here — just trying to understand whether this is a real dealer problem, or whether the current process works well enough already

Please let me know if you're in the business of selling motors, open to new ways for improving the sales process and would like to discuss.

Many thanks
