I have the itch to upgrade my 16GB M1 MacBook Pro, but it's just too good to replace.

Discussion

I bought a 16GB M1 MacBook Pro when it first came out for web development, and it’s still going strong to this day. I haven't experienced any performance issues; it seamlessly handles multiple Docker containers, along with Node and PHP servers, all running simultaneously without a single hiccup. I occasionally get the itch to upgrade to a newer model, but honestly, there's absolutely no need. The only minor drawback is the battery life, as the battery health is currently sitting at around 80%. If I just get the battery replaced, I’m confident this laptop easily has another five years left in it. Plus, I’ve kept it in a case since day one, so the body is still in mint condition!
