Build Struggles

I've owned the game for a bit but haven't gotten past the Lorenzini Arcade. I've been struggling with what weapons/build I want to run and keep restarting from the beginning, only to get stuck again and repeat the cycle.

What weapon combo's/builds have been most enjoyable to you all?
