I truly feel my life is ruined...

Hi so I am going to enter 3rd year this June and currently I am pursuing BTech ECE, and I feel that it is one of the worst mistake i committed in my life. It is long, and you can skip the next para of you want to.

From 6th class i was very interested and emotionally attached to my laptop that i was lost in it for hours. In my school, i had java in my syllabus from 9th to 12th class and i literally finished the course in summer weeks. although i was good at studies till class 8, but after that, i was only topper in computer subject, but got below average in other subjects. I got 82 in class 10 due to corona and 77 in 12th. but interestingly, i got 100 out of 100 in computer in 12. till class 12th, i was very popular in computer, i was far ahead from everybody, and i am not saying this in an egoistic way, but since everybody already focused on pcm, i just enjoyed being praised and popular, kinda like this is my field of expertise. i was finally sure what to do.

then came the jee phase and i feel like it ruined everything for me. took a drop to get college out my city and also less fees (this was due to very serious family problem).

so i got 85 percentile and 220k rank even after my hard work and i researched so much acc to my understanding at that time as i had no guidance from anywhere other than online and because of misinfo and wrong assumption, i thought that i should fill cse and ece as there were people saying that you can get into both electronics and software. i didn't know that cse includes the hardware part, os internals and everything related to computer, and ece does not.

many government posts also explicitly mention that only cse/it allowed. all my favourite topics, from software to hardware, everything was covered in the cse syllabus, and i got to know that in my 2nd year. i couldn't also change branch in 2nd year as my college (uit rgpv) gave back in subject in which i got C after reval. and an sc girl from same class got her branch upgraded (i am obc).

Now i feel so lost and disinterested, it is so heavy studying all these subjects that i have no interest in, seeing places where i would have been eligible and would have done my work with so much passion and interest, i feel horrible.

I cannot get above 7 in any sem, and one time this C programming subject came, i got highest in it. it just breaks my heart daily to get reminded that i would have been topper of my class if i were in cse. my classmates aren't even ambitious, and i see almost every cse student being engaged in coding related activities, projects etc. everything could sound childish but it is being very heavy on me. and the thing is this was the sweetest spot i could have got as jee students don't have very much coding exposure, so i could have lived last topper life as even in mtech, no one is going to care who is who.

Even interdisciplinary change in mtech doesn't feel right now as it has so many challenges of its own.

I really want to come out of this. Can somebody help me who might was in this same situation but got out of it? like after college, is reality different than i am thinking, can i still make out of my life that i want to? i even can't clearly state what i really want. and what wrong am i doing here due to the lack of experience of reality of future,
