Advice on best livingroom set-up - need your wisdom!
hi everyone, we are going to start putting our first floor apartment on Airbnb and I need some advice about the set up of the living room. First, here is the overall context: we are right outside of an urban area, near public transportation, and a lot of universities. I suspect people will be staying at our place because they are visiting family, the city, or their children in college. The apt is 1400 ft.². Three bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, one common living area, and an eat-in kitchen. The eat in part of the kitchen is a little tight. You can definitely fit six people around the table, but it’s cozy. One bedroom has a queen size bed, and its own bathroom. bedroom two has a bunkbed (single over full). Bedroom three has a daybed and desk. Now the living room set up question. Because of how the walls and window are configured here are our two options:
-
let the living area be primarily a living room room with a 60” flatscreen tv. Big l-shaped couch. We could either put a tiny table with two chairs near the window or just let the eat-in kitchen be the only dining space
-
do a smaller couch and smaller 30” TV and have a four person dining table in the living area as well
I tend to think that having more options of places to sit down and eat will be more important to guests, but my husband believes that people were really want a big TV….. Thoughts??
