new to air battles, keep surviving the battle with no kills. help

idk anything about the game, ive watched a couple youtube videos which helped me learn to survive, but idk how to set up a kill in any way so i just kinda fly around for the whole game. not really sure what to do about it, i know im playing too passive but idk how to be aggressive without instantly dying
