Hey! I’m working on an object comic called LUCID and I’m looking for OC submissions to possibly feature in it.

It’s a story-driven object comic inspired by projects like ONE, The Nightly Manor, Inanimate Insanity, Objectified, and FCDC, focusing on identity and relationships.

I’m currently looking for 11 contestants total.

IMPORTANT (please read):

You don’t need to make any finished assets or polished designs

A simple reference sketch is totally fine (I’ll be redrawing everything in my own style anyway)

I might tweak small design or personality details so everything fits the story and art style

I probably won’t accept very generic or overused object ideas (like super basic balls or overly common fire-type characters)

This is NOT a roleplay project. If your OC is selected, I’m only using the character concept for the comic itself

SUBMISSION INFO:

You can submit your OC in any of the following ways:

Google Form - https://forms.gle/1jKrw9bikpi1cqDq7

Reddit comments

Reddit DMs

I’ll mainly be reviewing submissions through the Google Form first, then going through comments and DMs afterward.

Please include:

Name + object type plus basic info like pronouns gender ect

Reference drawing (any level is fine)

Personality summary

Strengths / flaws

Fears

Habits

Any extra lore or symbolism

Submissions will officially stay open for about a month, though I may close them earlier if I feel the cast is already filled out well.

Thanks! I’ll go through submissions over time and pick characters that best fit the cast and story dynamics.
