Chime card and combined debit/credit account

If I get the chime card do I lose access to my pay and spot me? Is it worth doing? My income is all direct deposited to chime, I don't want to get the chime card if it's a down grade from the regular chime account. It doesn't really seem like there is all that much of a benefit besides the cash back and honestly that's not all that exciting imo.
