2026 BMW X3 M50 Cargo Fitment

The cargo liner in my X3 is tucked under the back seats and everything seems to line up correctly. There seems to be an issue near the back where the power lift gate controls come down on the part of the mat that covers the plastic guard at the edge of the floor. The lift gate controls seem to be damaging the Tuxmat. Is this normal or did I install incorrectly?
