Confused about dropout protection

Should I set it to minimum or maximum for recording vocals? I have a 24gb ram m5 MacBook Pro so I’m not that worried about cpu. I have my device buffer size at 64 and I know that’s what I want to record at. If I keep my dropout protection at minimum, my process buffer size is also 64, so should I keep it that way? Or should I change it to maximum?
