WTF is wrong with roommate’s parents ??!!!!

Here is some background…my roommate (M 43) and I (F 42) have known each other for years. I’ve gone over to his parents’ house several times in the past, and decided to discontinue doing so. It wasn’t really the culture barrier that did it, (they are very old school Hispanics) but rather it was their lack of common sense and decency that turned me off. Despite being nice on the surface, they just did not have any etiquette or manners. My roommate HIMSELF has mentioned many times that he doesn’t really fit in with his own family, because he is the most empathetic person I’ve ever met.

So now the main story… My roommate is very obese, and because of it he has major health problems. In the last several years, it has seem to have caused more and more issues, with the majority resulting in ER visits.

Thank God he has a great paying job with benefits, but I honestly worry about him. He has major heart issues, has been severely dehydrated with numerous fevers, skin infections due to his obesity, and breathing issues. Today he was having another episode, and he was so dizzy and disoriented that he could barely call his mom. She and his stepdad came over with f*cking Pedialyte and Vaporub. WHAT THE F*CK?!!!! He’s had these exact same issues before numerously!!! I’m sorry but what the hell is that mexi-mart shit going to do to help him? They just left and drove off after that, so I came to his room asking if I could help. He asked if I could drive him to the ER.

All I can say is thank God I was home, because I drove him to Emergency where he got the help he needed, the IV’s and medication and what not. I’m praying he gets better.

I honestly HATE his parents and just really needed to vent. 🤬🤬🤬
