What is up with Aaron Delaney?

I only watched the show but never read the books. Why is Aaron Delaney at Hawks hockey games and also at their college parties?

I think it’s odd she seems him at both events and her reaction isn’t as detr as when she found out Garrett was playing against him.

Or was she just imaging his face and he wasn’t really there?
