Norway SIS Entry Ban After Travel on Valid Spanish Schengen Visa
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand my immigration situation and whether anyone has seen something similar before.
In 2024:
I applied for a Norway Schengen visa and it was refused because Norway considered my travel/accommodation information unreliable.
Later, Spain issued me a valid Schengen visa.
I travelled legally to Spain and also visited Norway during that trip.
I returned to India before any ban was issued.
After I had already returned home, Norway issued:
a 5-year Schengen entry ban,
and SIS registration/expulsion decision.
My confusion is:
I did not overstay,
I did not enter illegally,
and I travelled on a valid Spanish-issued visa.
I have already appealed and the appeal was rejected.
I now want to understand:
Whether anyone has dealt with Norway SIS bans before.
Whether lawyers can realistically help challenge/reduce/remove these bans.
Whether this kind of issue heavily affects
