How to change interview from SWE to Marketing?

Hi everyone,

I applied to a software engineering summer internship at a FAANG company a while back, like maybe 5 months ago. I did the OA and kind of forgot about it. I didn't hear back from them, and I ended up accepting a different SWE internship offer for the summer.

Anyways, this FAANG company just reached out to me this week, and they want to schedule an interview for a Fall internship/co-op. The thing is, and my current internship made me realize this too, is that I'm not really interested in SWE anymore. I'd like to pivot into technical marketing. Is it at all appropriate to ask the recruiter if they have roles open for that sort of thing and maybe interview for a marketing role instead? Would that be rude? What should I do? I feel like it would be stupid to decline the interview, given that this is a big name, but I am not really interested in SWE anymore. Any advice would be appreciated.
