What extracurriculars are good for a future chem engineering major who can't branch out much?
Okay so, I'm currently a sophomore in high school, about to be a junior, but I don't know what extracurriculars I can do to help my college applications. I know engineering can be competitive, and my current extracurriculars don't align with engineering since, prior to this year, I was just an art kid who didn't have a set plan.
I know I dont have to worry about my academics since I am planning on taking APs for math and science (and other more rigorous courses that don't apply but Id like to take them), and I have all As, but extracurriculars are my main worry.
Currently, all I could really put down would be how I'm a marketing director for one of my school's community service club, the president of our D&D club (Hey, I love playing), and in the school's beginner dance group. I'm also working on writing a book and I'm planning on getting it published over this upcoming summer, but other than those, I don't really have any other big activities, and I know they aren't related to my planned major soo... I dont exactly know what to do.
I plan on doing some at-home chemical engineering related experiments. I can't exactly branch out to summer schools and courses due to my parents' restrictions so...
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, it would be so much help. Thank you in advance!
