Dead Team Souvenir Skins

There has been a lot of hype regarding the trade-up change with Souvenir skins and consequent rise in price across the board.

I'm curious what everyone's thought's are on the loss of some of these skins from the game? Souvenirs that are purple/restricted and above are actually incredibly rare for some teams. Teams that only made it to one major or were eliminated early not to mention the map/collection they come.

It's not uncommon for some teams to only have a handful of these per major and even then you factor in condition, sticker placement, logo design of the major etc..

I don't think it's unreasonable to think some of these skins could become extremely rare just from people buying them for trade-up fodder without knowing it.

Do you see some teams Souvenir items becoming valuable as they edge closer to being removed from the game via trade-ups?
