I think I was sexually assaulted by my boyfriend but I’m not sure
For some context, I have something called vaginal stenosis. That means I can’t have penetrative sex, cause my vaginal opening doesn’t really open. Any sort of penetration or pressure around the area of my vaginal opening is pretty extremely painful. Not to be like crude or anything, but I can’t even fit a pinky in without like the worst pain of my life. I have to have surgical intervention to fix it. The rest of my vagina is completely fine and works as it should!!
I met my ex boyfriend about a year ago, pretty early on I told him about my vaginal stenosis and how I wouldn’t be able to have penetrative sex with him but I was open to doing other things. He was fine with it when I told him, but he had a really high sex drive. He’d get really sad and tell me that he just missed me so much and wanted to feel close to me every time I wasn’t in the mood. I kicked him out once for making a joke about me ruining the night for not wanting to have sex with him while I was actively crying. All that is like shitty and coercive I think, but I’m not sure if that counts. What I’m really unsure about is the sex itself.
A lot of the time it felt like he was actively trying to make sex painful for me. He’d bite me hard on my chest, and kept going after I would tell him it hurt. When he touched me, he would always find and put pressure on my vaginal opening, which he knew was really painful for me. I’d redirect him verbally and physically move his hand, but he’d just go right back to it every time. I don’t think we had sex a single time that wasn’t painful for me. I’m not sure if it was muscle memory for him or if he didn’t care or did it on purpose. Another time I was having a panic attack and he just kept going.
I just can’t tell if he was inattentive and the sex was just bad, or if it was sexual assault. It feels gross and bad, but I also don’t know if that’s because of other shitty aspects of the relationship. He was pretty convinced he was gonna marry me like two months in and wouldn’t stop talking about it even when I told him it made me uncomfortable. I broke up with after four months, and I’m really much happier. But I just still feel like there’s something wrong in my bones. Idk. Does that count as sexual assault?
