I’ll start off my saying that no I don’t see this as a competitive deck but I’m having fun playing it. This build was based off of a deck played at LA (if I’m remembering correctly) but I made a few adjustments to help with some consistency. I find that if you can make it through the first couple turns alright then you can play pretty well into most matchups.

Game plan is usually to go first and try and get tatsugiri up to draw through supporters as I set up a couple tynamo on the bench with at least one dratini. Also important to try and get some electric energies into the discard pile while you search through the deck with ultra balls and secret box. I’ve struggled over single prize electric attackers and stunfisk seems to be one that’s survived the chopping block. The deck did have zapdos originally and I switched that to the single energy paralysis coin flip zeraora but later cut I all together because it wasn’t consistently helping me enough. The deck snipe zeraora was also cut.

Play into dragapult has been surprisingly competitive (I’m not highly ranked and pretty bad at this game so take that with a grain of salt). Most of the time I can weather through the early game budew and either draw through with tatsugiri or get the knock outs with stunfisk. The math works out well for dragonite with the 1HKO. A lot of the time they just can’t reach for two 2HKOs on either of my megas to close the game and I can go 2-4-6 on my prizes.

Like I said, this deck has been fun and I’ve been determined to find its ceiling. It still does take a lot of work to get going but it has options and few neat tricks to buy time. Let me know if you’re doing anything with this or see any major mistakes with how I’m running it.
