Dealing with the aftermath of being in a car accident
I live in a mountainous area and I was driving down the mountain and going around a sharp turn. It had been raining and I hydroplaned and lost control. It caused me to swerve and hit the guard rail. The side of my car is so screwed up and both of the tires on that side popped. The door won’t open from the dents, my mirror knocked off and my tail and head light broke. I Literally almost fell off the mountain if it wasn’t for the rail. All of the damage to my car is stressing me out it’s an old car so the cost to repair it might be more than my car is worth and I don’t have much for a down payment. I was only going like 45 and I feel like what if it’s my fault. Going through all of that was extremely scary and I think it’s taking a toll on me psychologically all I keep thinking about is the moment I realized I’d lost control and heading into the side of the mountain and screaming and being jerked around. I am working with insurance but it’s a lot to process
