Does using third party chinese adapters damage the battery?

I bought a third party chinese made 30 W adapter from a random store because I lost my older lower wattage adapter and urgently needed one.

Today I noticed that the adapter was making a buzzing sound when my phone was connected to it and I noticed that my battery health dropped from 99% to 98% in just a week after using it.

I think the adapter is faulty.

I'm thinking of getting a 20W adapter from Apple.
