Is it worth getting a full LMS just for a handful of internal training courses?
I’m trying to figure out the best way to host a few internal training modules for our team, and I’m hitting a wall with the options out there.
Every time I look up standard platforms, it feels like I’m being pushed toward these massive, enterprise-level Learning Management Systems (LMS). They want us to sign annual contracts, deal with complicated user setups, and pay per user seat. Honestly, we only have 3 or 4 processes we need the team need to learn right now, so paying for a huge corporate LMS feels like massive overkill.
I’m looking for something way leaner. I came across Honen, which seems to focus more on just converting documentation straight into simple courses without all the heavy enterprise overhead.
Has anyone here used Honen, or do you have suggestions for lightweight setup? My worry with smaller AI-driven tools is that they might look too cheap or unprofessional to the staff, but also don’t want to burn budget on an enterprise system we’ll only use 10% of.
Would love to hear how other small teams host their training without breaking the bank.
