[AL] unclear parking policy at my apartment

sooooo i live in a duplex managed by a small leasing company. when i moved in, the girl who lived on one side of the duplex had been living there for 4-5 years. for the parking situation there's a driveway that fits multiple cars, but unless someone parks very high up and drives through the neighbor's yard, only one person can park in the driveway and then other person parks in the street. street parking is very common in this neighborhood. there's no specific clause at least in MY lease about the parking policy, and the leasing manager clarified that there's no rules for parking BUT the person in the side closest to the driveway usually parks there. i said alright bet.

now the girl who lived beside me moved out back in november and the other side of the duplex has been empty up until a couple weeks ago. that entire time i'd been parking in the driveway basically because why not! the thing is, is now i really like parking in the driveway and i much prefer it. but my leasing office either told the new tenant or the new tenant interpreted what the leasing office said as that was basically her spot.

now frankly, if it was listed in both our leases that parking was assigned, i wouldn't care, and i do believe the other side costs more per month and is a smaller unit BUT it is more newly renovated, runs on only electric, and has washer-dryer hookups. my unit is not as newly renovated, i have a gas heater that costs me 200-300$ a month during the winter months, and i have no washer-dryer hookups. small thing but i also don't have control over the front porch light. i've also been living here for 2 years longer than her. i feel like i should at least get the benefit of better parking? idk.

if it was outlined in our leases and clear from the beginning that the driveway was designated for that unit specifically i wouldn't mind, and i also wouldn't mind it if we operated on a first-come-first-serve basis even if she beats me to it everyday. i just don't like that there's nothing specifically stating i can't use the driveway other than hers and/or my landlord's word. i also don't want to be an a-hole to my new neighbor and be that person that's like "but i wanted it first!!!! hmph!!!" nor do i want to run into an issue where i cause too much trouble than my landlord wants to deal with bc it'd be very easy to put me out since i'm month to month. i pay <800$ for a huge apartment in a great area of my city, idk what i'd do if i had to move!!!

is it worth pushing the issue with my landlord or count my blessings?
