I've seen a lot of discussions on people who shouldn't have been tested, like Strahm and whatnot. While I completely agree with a lot of these cases, I feel like people give Daniel Rigg too much credit.

Firstly, let's make it clear why he was tested. Jigsaw tested him, not because he was trying to "be a hero" but because he felt he HAD to be the hero. He was reckless and arrogant, believing he could and should save everyone and ignored any possible warning signs of danger.

Also, another thing I'd like to point out is that Rigg is just the same vein of corrupt as Eric or Hoffman. He's known Eric for years, and when things get dicey in Saw II, he constantly urges Eric to just beat John Kramer. He's clearly got a history of knowing and even supporting Eric's violence and abuse.

And then let's take his last moments. When he fails his test and Art tells him he failed, what does Daniel Rigg do?

What does this man do when he sees a guy who tells him that he fucked up trying to get something that might be needed for the situation?

"DON'T FUCKING MOVE!!!" are his final words ever, and he shoots the guy in the head.

Halloran, an actual corrupt cop, had Edgar Munson shot in the hand to stop him pressing the remote. Rigg decides to aim and fire at Art in the head.

He is not some "great hero that got tested for trying to save others." He's a selfish and arrogant cop who is just as bad as someone like Hoffman or Mathews.

Question: Why do people think Rigg didn't "deserve" to be tested?
