What am I doing wrong?
Not sure if the hive mind will have answers for me but I definitely need to vent frustration before I chalk up the loss and return these things.
So, I got the Luma Ultra this morning. After a bit of a rocky start and me thinking I bricked them just trying to update (one laptop wouldn’t connect after the update for the firmware “failed” but fortunately I had another laptop that got the job done) and some poking around with the glasses, I am finding frustration after frustration.
One of the reasons I got them was to use with my gaming laptop. Well imagine my shock when the system sees only the microphone and nothing more… my old laptop from 2013 recognized and utilized the glasses with no issue but the 2019 model doesn’t?
OK no big deal I have a work laptop to use them on as well. Plug them in and things go amazingly sideways in record time. First the screen isn’t anchored. Nota deal breaker but definitely inconvenient. Next it starts stuttering. Then it seemingly randomly either zooms way in or way out and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to bring it back to usable size.
On top of that, I’m not seeing any settings or any way to anchor or free the screen anywhere.
With those real issues out of the way, I’m also finding it ridiculous to have these attached to my phone when I continually have to look down at my phone to see what i’m doing on it. Kinda defeats the purpose.
So was anyone else had these issues? Did I get a defective pair? Or is this just how they are?
