I have a question.

Recommendation Request :hamster:

Hi, hows it going?

I've been wanting to buy a fragrance cause I just wanna smell better to be completely honest with you, but I have some issues that I think are quite funny.

I keep looking into videos on fragrances for men, or sea breeze scents, or woody scents but they describe the smells with words such as: Smokey, bitter, powdery, musky, etc. Or they describe it with scents that are genuinely just revolting like cigarettes or something and I just have no clue what theyre supposed to mean, or if I do its something I think is kind of disgusting.

For more context let me explain what I think when someone describes a scent like musk, for example.

When someone says something has a musk I dont assume they mean it has a wood musk, I think they mean it smells of body odor. So when someone says this sandalwood fragrance has a "musk" I assume they mean it smells of sandalwood and body odor.

I even looked it up and it said "its elevated by what your skin smells like" and I guess that makes sense but then theres different types of musk? Like animalistic musk? Animals have musk? Theres "soapy" musk? What kind of soap?

Im very confused.
