The ending of The Boys is actually quite sad

I was analyzing the ending, apart from being a disappointment, but I don't want to talk about that here.

Sorry if someone else talked about this before, I haven't checked all the posts in this sub but, in the end, Butcher was right, by killing Homelander, they just gave a black eye to the real enemy, Vought.

And Vought in the end, actually benefits from the death of Homelander. He was a headache for the whole company and for Stan Edgar specially, now that he is gone, it's back to business as usual.

The Boys kinda did the dirty work for them, without knowing it.

So, big corp won, even the new president says so when he calls Hughie to offer him a position to control the supes. The show makes it look like Hughie rejects it because he chose happiness, but it's actually something very dark if you think about it. The government reactivating that special unit to control supes it's because there are already new supes who are doing disasters in the US. Maybe there's a new potential Homelander.

I don't wanna mention the spin-offs because I know someone will say "but they will continue the story in The Boys Mexico", I'm talking about the main show here. I don't give a fuck about the spin-offs.
