Quick possible fix for Perseus docking on stations

hey guys, im just here to share with some of you the way i found to dock onto stations with the perseus in 4.8 as of 23/05/2026

i guess many of you love to take this beauty out only to realize you cant even dock with stations since Autodock is not functional and the alignment reticule seems to be off.

heres what i did, and hopefully you guys can replicate it.

1. proceed normally to dock and align, make sure youre as close as possible and as aligned as possible

2. go into 3d person view and visually align the docking port

3. press Alt + N to cancel the docking and wait a couple seconds

4. while in 1st person, request docking again, keep hitting it a couple times until the port acknowledges it.

5. if done correctly, Autodock kicks in automatically and the ship aligns and docks correctly.

hopefully you guys can replicate it and maybe those of you with polaris' can test it.
