Struggling to find vocals

Still super new to producing in general and one of the things I'm really having trouble with is finding decent vocals or hooks. I could be wrong, but I feel like the vocals help you know which direction and vibe to take a song so it's rather important. I've scrolled thru splice for hours and like 98% of them all are cheeks.

Was wondering if anyone would mind sharing some sauce on how they consistently find their vocals?
