What we’ll never do now

 For me, it’s not what we experienced, but what we’ll never get to experience that hurts the most.

• ⁠We’ll never get to see old Chicago with Lodi and figure out what hunted guardians there.
• ⁠We’ll never see the 2082 Volantis where the Vex built a “Forge Star” and fight them alongside Praedyth.
• ⁠We’ll never fight alongside Caiatl and Luzaku to free Torobatl from the hive.
• ⁠We’ll never face Xivu Arath teaming up with her sister Savathun and finally end the tyranny of the hive.
• ⁠We’ll never get to slay any of the remaining worm gods.
• ⁠We’ll never get to see Eramis rebuilding Riis with her family.
• ⁠We’ll never explore the halls of the Ishtar Archive on Venus in 60+ FPS.
• ⁠We’ll never figure out what the “they know” message Clovis Bray sent out really meant and who it went to.
• ⁠We’ll never get to “bind the IX” and face down the lord of every nothing.
• ⁠We’ll never get to shove our praxic blade into Dregen Bael and end his suffering.
• ⁠We’ll never get to see the new fashion the freed Vex develop.
• ⁠We’ll never see what system Osiris and Saint XIV establish as a colony.
• ⁠We’ll never see Crow become funny. We’ll never learn what was on Enceladus.
• ⁠We’ll never see Amanda Holiday reborn as a guardian.
• ⁠We’ll never learn what the anomaly on the moon was connected to.
• ⁠We’ll never fight the winnower.
• ⁠We’ll never face down Freeborn Otzot and peer through the OXA machine.
• ⁠We’ll never meet Taox to learn the history she knows of the hive pantheon.
• ⁠We’ll never fight alongside Shin Malphur.
• ⁠We’ll never fight with Aisha.
• ⁠We’ll never hunt down Jana-14.
• ⁠We’ll never peer into the distributary.
• ⁠We’ll never crush the conductor.
• ⁠We’ll never have a worlds first raid or dungeon race again.
• ⁠We’ll never learn what lies beyond the anomaly at Vesper’s Station or what caused the Eliksni to build it.
• ⁠We’ll never dive into the Cocytus Apertures.
• ⁠We’ll never hear “another week boys and another TWAB,” Greeting guardians, my name is Byf here,” or “what is up guys.”
• ⁠We’ll never know what the hell the traveller really was, where it came from, why it gave us power, and if there were any more like it.
• ⁠We’ll never face down Lysander or learn to what the concordat wanted.
• ⁠We’ll never regroup with Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, or New Monarchy among the stars.
• ⁠We’ll never see what becomes of the Ahamkara spawn of Riven we helped release.
• ⁠We’ll never see the city tensions between the vanguard and the normal people die down and re-establishment of a representative government.
• ⁠We’ll never see what the Neomuni actually look like.
• ⁠We’ll never see Astrea and Soteria reunite.
• ⁠We’ll never see Mithrax recover from his affliction.

I’m so eternally grateful for this game and this community. It got me through multiple combat deployments, a very rough divorce, and became something the love of my life and I shared and even the children’s book “D is for Destiny” became how she told me she was pregnant with our first born son. This all means so much to me and it’s so incredibly hard to see the game not have a meaningful and where we all feel some sense of completion.
