My mom says she doesn’t like the name we picked out

Had my baby shower today and my mom (71F) told me she doesn’t like the name I picked out for my baby girl. I told her “well we like it.” She also told me the name I picked out should be her middle name not her first name but it sounds best as a first not a middle name. It was the first and only name my boyfriend and I both agreed on when we started thinking of names.

I know it’s ultimately our decision not hers but it was kind of disappointing when many other friends and family have told us they like the name we picked out.

Just had to vent about that. Otherwise the shower went well, but now I’m all people’d out for a while 😅
