How do I make my job more whimsical

ok bad start but this is my first job and it’s been less then a week and I utterly DESPISE it. usually I do carry out but that’s just basically bagging stuff, but the rest of my coworkers are usually goofing off or i have no idea what they’re doing. today I had to be at the checkout for 7 hours straight. I’m supposed to do more stuff but I’m always restricted to the checkout because nobody else is there. ok so I don’t really like it so far but how can I make this enjoyable I’m going to crash out I’m sorry this is a bit of a ramble
