IT System Engineer career progression

I had a sales and business development career before coming to Oz on a student visa pursuing a masters in computer science. I joined as desktop support technician (I know .. its Adelaide and i was desperate).. got promoted to System Engineer after 3 years and now recently to Senior System engineer after another 4 years.( M365 suit, windows servers, EntraID-Azure etc).

what should I be looking at for career progression?

current FTE is 146000, want to reach 200000.

Not trying to rush but it’s important as I started late here in Oz(am 46 now, and wife has stopped working due to mental health issues. So this is our family income.

Whats a financially lucrative pivot that would make sense for me to take from this role, people leader roles or specialists roles in cyber security, dev ops, cloud engineering etc?
