How much do neurotypical people care about eye contact?

I know not every ADHDer struggles with eye contact, but it's certainly something I don't always engage in, and when I do I find it hard to know how long I should hold eye contact and what my eyes should be doing.

Recently I have been tired of masking, and not bothering with it.

How off-putting do neurotypical people find it if you don't make eye contact with them?
