Posting to hopefully motivate myself!

I tried to start my weight loss journey at 169lbs in Jan 2024 with a calorie defect and did low impact exercise like yoga and walking the dog. Well, I really love food and my ADHD hates calorie counting, so I only lost 4lbs that whole year.

So really I looked the same in Jan 2025. No need for progress photos lol. That’s when I started using a mini stepper while I worked for an hour or two a day and cooking more whole foods.

Rewind: sept 2024 my dog got injured playing fetch and needed months to heal so I got super lazy too. Spring 2025 the vet said no more fetch, just walks so I had to take her for long walks.

So spring last year, one year ago, I started taking my dog for nature trail hikes and walks every day. 8-14k steps a day for most of the year. I started doing kettle bell workouts a couple days a week, but honestly didn’t notice much of a difference. Wasn’t lifting enough. But the fat was melting off from the walks! I was 160 lbs April 2025, now I’m 133 lbs May 2026.

I only counted calories in the summer and fall 2025 on and off. Now I kind of know my limits and that’s how I’ve been able to maintain between 136-132 this year!

I stalled… I’ve been super low energy and in a ton of pain from endometriosis for 1-3 weeks a month all year. But it’s so nice outside that I’ve been forcing myself to hike 4-6km a few days a week. I need to start adding in more strength training now, but I fear I have no energy after hygiene, work, and walking my dogs (just adopted a second one, she’s very active and we can’t really skip a day and do fetch).

Not really sure what else to say I’m just rambling and hope that posting here will at least remind me how far I’ve come, and hopefully inspire me to keep going!

Edit: thanks everyone! Forgot to mention I’m open to suggestions to get over the plateau / suggestions from people with endo. I don’t have a goal weight, that’s the best thing I can do for my mental health (along with all this walking hahah)
