Would you stay in a workplace with constant gossip and office issues?

Need advice lang. I’m 27(F) and I'm currently a probationary employee (nakaka 5 months na ako sa company) and lately sobrang draining na ng workplace environment namin.

Recently, nagkaroon ng office issue involving our HR. She made some public comments/jokes that honestly made me uncomfortable, so I vented to someone from another department. Unfortunately, the issue spread and eventually umabot sa management. Nagkaroon ng meeting and parang naging focus na kung sino nagsabi kanino instead of what led to the issue in the first place.

What affected me most wasn’t even the meeting itself, but realizing how gossip-heavy and emotionally messy the environment is. Apparently, marami rin palang natotoxican sa HR namin because she tends to gossip and involve herself in different office issues. Even some coworkers told me not to take her behavior personally because ganun daw talaga siya.

I acknowledge naman na may part ako sa pag-escalate because I vented, but at the same time, I also felt dismissed and invalidated during the whole situation. Since then, parang nawalan na ako ng trust and comfort sa workplace.

Now I’m seriously considering resigning. I still have commissions/freelance income naman, though I’d lose around 16k monthly if I leave, so hindi rin siya super easy decision.

Am I overreacting for wanting to leave because of workplace culture and drama, even if technically kaya ko pa naman magstay?
