Which language to choose for backend? Java or Node and Express?

So, in our college, what type of companies come more often for Backend or Full Stack roles — Java-based companies or MERN Stack companies?

I’m in a dilemma about what to start learning after 4th semester. I know both Java and the MERN Stack, but most of the projects I made using MERN were vibe-coded, so please help me decide what I should focus on learning.

Mostly, I’ve heard that MERN Stack companies are more abundant than Java companies, at least in Chitkara University.
