Overactivation of the autobiographical memory networks
This is an idea based on HSAM research. If thought it'd be helpful. So when daydreaming/before sleep/quiet wakefulness. Mental time travel on the regular. They found in HSAM participants that they had higher fantasy proneness than controls and overactive autobiographical memory networks in task based retrieval and resting state(daydreaming). So, using the autobiographical memory, mental time travel a lot could improve autobiographical memory and episodic( helps with studying). These folks also had higher logical memory( free recall) and associative memory. The main idea here is overactivation of autobiographical mental time travel whenever daydreaming may improve memory ability. Scientists haven't seemed to look at how these findings can benefit the general public yet. They're still doing a lot of work. I thought this would help. Thx neuroscientists.
