What are your unopinion opinions regarding the changes between the books the show?

Books and Show Discussion

I am completely biased, since The Offer from a Gentleman is my favorite Bridgerton book so far, but I preferred the book's climax to the show's version. I loved, loved, LOVED the jail scene. I loved how Violet stood up for Sophie from Karen (I mean, Araminta) and blackmailed her. I loved the part where Benedict choked Araminta (I don't condone violence against women, but I will make an exception with Araminta since she was so irredeemably evil and the way she treated Sophie is unforgivable. I also cheered when Sophie herself punched Araminta out and Posy helping Sophie and revealing her mother's schemes.

On a more negative note, I didn't care for Queen Charlotte and her meddling. I felt that making Sophie a part of the ton cheapened the storyline quite a bit. I felt that the book ending where Sophie and Benedict having to go to the country because the ton didn't approve of Sophie is a far better ending to their storyline. It has a bittersweet quality to it and I love romance stories with a bittersweet ending.

To make a long post short, I liked Book! Benophie, despite it's flaws and I didn't care for Queen Charlotte.
